Project scope:
HCI provided Design-Build services to construct a 13,365 sq/ft Butlet pre-engineered metal building to serve as Rockingham County’s Emergency Station No. 10.
This extensive construction project involved erecting a brand new metal frame structure that will have the main building and an attached emergency apparatus bay. The main building will satisfy an assortment of staff needs ranging from office space to bunk areas. The attached apparatus bay will have the space necessary for six large rescue vehicles.
The main building will include a Gear Room, a Training Room, Kitchen, Dining Room and Lounge Area, a large Fitness Room, Laundry Room, (8) Bunk Rooms, and (4) Offices.
The apparatus bay is 20ft in height with 3 large 14ft x 14ft Overhead doors on each side and has a sloped epoxy floor with trench drains. Exterior finishes include splitface block, Butler Shadowall metal panels and a Butler MR-24 standingseam roof system.
