Constructing a Place of Healing

The Vision Takes Shape

Preston started Valley Vital Care about ten years ago in Waynesboro, Virginia. The original location had limitations, and the need for a new, improved space became evident. While searching for a new site, Preston stumbled upon an old, neglected structure. Despite its dilapidated condition and multiple ownership changes, no one had given it the TLC it desperately needed.

That’s where Harman comes in. Preston’s vision was brought to fruition alongside the building’s owner and the talented architectural team at Wassenaar + Winkler. We transformed this neglected building into a welcoming, functional space for patients and providers. Today, we stand in front of the finished project the community can be proud of.

Modern and Professional Spaces

What was once an abandoned transmission shop, filled with grease and debris, is now a sleek, professional space for providers. The modern design, featuring open ceilings with painted black bar joists, creates a comfortable yet contemporary feel, perfectly blending professionalism with a welcoming atmosphere. This new space allows providers to work more effectively and collaboratively, bridging the gap in patient care.

A New Home for Healing

The front of the building offers a calming, home-like environment, crucial for patients who may spend anywhere from an hour to six or eight hours receiving treatments. Preston explains, “We just want to make sure that it’s clean, appropriate, safe, and a good overall patient experience.”

The facility now features five private patient rooms, ensuring each patient’s personalized and comfortable experience. Unlike typical medical facilities with curtained spaces, these individual rooms allow patients to relax and bring loved ones along, making their time at Valley Vital Care as pleasant and stress-free as possible.

Looking Ahead

The new Valley Vital Care facility is a shining example of what can be achieved through teamwork, innovation, and dedication. We look forward to seeing Valley Vital Care continue to grow and thrive in its new space. Working on this project has been a privilege, and we’re honored to see the lasting effect this project has on our community.
